ADULT HEARING TESTS

Tina will firstly have a look in your ears to assess the health of your ear canals and ear drum.  If you have an excessive build up of wax this can be removed safely using micro-suction (no water or syringing).  This is followed by tympanometry which is an assessment of your middle ear function. We then test your ability to hear sound and speech in a variety of situations.  These results are then explained fully to you. If you have a hearing loss Tina will discuss the many options you have, which may include hearing aids, assistive listening devices or you may be referred back to your doctor or specialist for medical management if appropriate.

Our comprehensive hearing examination takes 1 hour. You’ll leave informed and impressed with our standard of care.

Consult your private health insurance to see if you are eligible for a rebate. As of the 1st of March 2023 Medicare rebates are available with a referral from a GP or ENT. Talk to you GP about a team care plan for Audiology
